Teen School Year Programs or Ongoing 2015-2016

 Positive Youth Psychology Class with Christopher Old at For Goodenss Sake Friday Oct 11th, 6:00-7:30pm.  Organized by "Radience" an new youth spirtual group created by Phoebe Rogers.


Whole Hearts, Minds, and Bodies Young people engaging their lives through mentoring, healing, and nature connections.  Youth attend multi-hour, activity based sessions where they learn life skills and develop the capacities they need to face their challenges and meet life with confidence.  Provided by the Gateway Mountain Center in Truckee.


InnerRhythms uses the power of dance and music to cultivate life skills in our youth, promote global stewardship, and create an everlasting passion for the arts in the communities we serve.


Adventure Risk Challenge- an innovative program for high school youth, linking wilderness to academics, adventure to leadership, and environmental science to literacy and confidence to activism.  It inspires the confidence teens need to be successful, engaged, and empowered citizens.


Friday Night Live (Truckee High School) and Club Live (Alder Creek Middle School) - a youth lead action group that helps build leadership skills by initiating projects that provide fun, healthy activities on Friday  nights , while working to reduce youth drug and alcohol abuse.   Contact: Anne Fisher for Truckee High's Club or Rose Weskamp  for Alder Creek Middle School Club.  



North Tahoe Boys and Girls Club -To inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens


Big Brothers and Big Sisters- Big Brothers Big Sisters of Nevada County & North Lake Tahoe makes a positive difference in the lives of children and youth in our region through a professionally-supported, one-to-one relationship with a caring and responsible individual. These individuals offer support to children’s growth and development through nurturing relationships, leading to positive outcomes.


First Tee Junior Golf Program (Tahoe City) works to impact the lives of young  people (ages 7-18) by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.  No child is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.


YoungLife Truckee- A non-denominational youth outreach ministry focusing on developing healthy relationships with teens, modeling out of a Jesus centered faith.  Contact Ryan Hunter:
